Wolf Children... Anime Review.
I honestly didn't see myself loving this film as much as i did. Wolf Children, known as Ōkami Kodomo no Ame to Yuki, is the story of a college student Hana who falls in love with a werewolf. She has two half-wolf children and one day while out hunting for food the children's father is killed resulting in Hana having to bring them up by herself. Hana finds it hard adjusting to being a single mother of two - even harder when your children are able to change to their wolf-selves whenever they feel like it. After a visit from social workers Hana decides to move to the country to raise her children away from neighbours. Having little money and unable to work she has to learn how to grow all their own crops. When the children start school they have to keep their identities secret along with having to face the troubles of normal children/teens they also have to deal with their wolf sides. I don't want to give spoilers on this film, so I'm going to leave it there. The ending wasn't what I wanted it to be, but thats just me. Overall I have so much love for this film possibly more than My Neighbour Totoro, which is saying something as thats been my favourite anime for years. Regardless of your anime tastes you need to see this film.
